Community engagement is the driving force behind Groundwork Studio’s master plan development for the Rio Fernando Park with the Taos Land Trust. “We wanted this to be fun,” says landscape architect Amy Bell, “By making it fun, we accessed a broader and more diverse portion of the community. That, in turn, resulted in valuable partnerships for the future programming of the park.”

The park will provide a unique regional resource, demonstrating a diverse community’s capacity to create a public space that connects natural and cultural ecosystems.
