Groundwork Studio has provided ongoing planning analysis and mapping support to the Embarcadero Institute in Palo Alto, CA. The Embarcadero Institute is a non-profit community organization that publishes analysis that gives context to local policy affecting Palo Alto and the Bay Area.  Projects have included research into the possible impacts of California Senate Bills 50, 330, and 592 on housing development in the state, the creation of online maps and graphics, data collection, and development of the Embarcadero Institute website.  This work has helped the Institute communicate the local effects of existing and proposed policies to stakeholders who may lack the resources to understand how policy decisions affect them.
