Groundwork Studio collaborated with FBT Architects and the City of Farmington in the development of a master plan, feasibility study and construction documents for Phase I of the renovation of the beloved Brookside Park Pool. The renovation of this historically important community facility is an exciting resource for Farmington residents, and a destination attraction for visitors. The project includes two phases with waterslides, lap pools, a lazy river, water play structure, site improvements for ADA accessibility, shaded poolside seating and a bathhouse renovation.

Integration of artwork and custom elements based on the theme of the Four Corners natural outdoor assets like fossils, rock formations, and the night sky was a major priority of the design. Art and theming elements were integrated into the pool deck paving, fencing and canopies, and reinforced through use of textures and colors in the landscape material.
